2020 – A Family Getaway to Malpe’s Paradise Lagoon

Managing a second office with a team of 20 in Mangalore offers the perk of frequent visits to this beautiful city – 4-6 times a year, to be exact!

On one such trip, We decided to extend the stay into a relaxing long weekend for a family getaway to Malpe’s Paradise Lagoon with Preeti, our son Ishaan, Aparna, her daughter Airaa, and myself.

Having already arrived in Mangalore the prior week, the rest of the troupe flew in on a Friday. I picked them up in the company car, and we headed to the resort. The Drive was about an hour long, but the roads were good, and we covered this distance at a blissful pace

Choosing a Resort for Family Fun

While Malpe is known for its abundance of Airbnb options, we opted for the convenience of a resort. Traveling with little ones often means prioritizing amenities like room service, laundry facilities, and an on-site restaurant – luxuries that can be hit-or-miss with vacation rentals.

Paradise Lagoon: A Perfect Escape

Paradise Lagoon proved to be the perfect choice for our family getaway. We spent two blissful nights soaking up the serenity of Malpe before returning to the vibrant energy of Bangalore. The kids enjoyed the beach, while parents enjoyed the sunsets and the vistas around. We visited a lighthouse close by and lazed hammocks at the resort.
