2025 – Raddhika’s Handover – When the Doctors Came to Odyssey (Apr-Sep)
Every leadership term in Odyssey feels like a new season of an unpredictable, heartwarming show — full of laughter, surprises, and the occasional dramatic twist. My last term was no different. It had everything: hesitation, heated discussions, unlikely partnerships, and ultimately, a story of growth and camaraderie that defines who we are as a chapter.
After what can only be described as a rollercoaster of a term, we finally got Raddhika to agree to lead the chapter. Of course, she did this with her signature flair — and one big condition: it would only happen if Mihir became the Vice President.
Everyone except me agreed instantly. I, on the other hand, had my reservations.
I’ve always believed that it’s better to make friends while leading rather than start with friends on the leadership board. When you grow together through work, mutual respect builds naturally — and that’s where true teamwork shines.
We convinced Vaishak to take the role of Secretary Treasurer giving him the carrot that he will have it easy, as Mihir would be the most process – efficient VP , and Raddhika with her wealth of experience, his job would be easy!
The Doctor’s Report
Imagine this: you’ve been living a wonderful life — full of love, laughter, sweets, and cake. Then comes your doctor’s report saying, “You’ve been enjoying a little too much — time to get back in shape!”
You suddenly need a doctor, a dietician, and a physiotherapist to restore balance.
Well, that’s exactly what Odyssey needed — and exactly what it got!
In their quiet wisdom, the Nurturers brought in the “doctors” Odyssey needed — the right mix of discipline, strategy, and care to get us back into shape.
When Energy Meets Order
The first few weeks were… intense.
My natural exuberance and love for spontaneous announcements collided head-on with Raddhika’s structured and punctual approach. Our differences were visible — and a few wondered if our friendship would survive the heat!
What most didn’t know was that my friendship with Raddhika runs deep. Those small clashes didn’t weaken it — they strengthened it.
And in that process, something beautiful happened — our interactions brought us closer not just to each other, but to everyone around us. That’s the beauty of Odyssey — we’re a family that thrives on passion, even if it sometimes comes with a dash of drama!
Smooth Sailing Ahead
Once the rhythm set in, everything began to flow smoothly.
The leadership team quietly handled challenges in the background, ensuring Odyssey not only stayed on track but outperformed the region multiple times.
They gave everyone else the credit and took none for themselves. Meetings became crisp, focused, and meaningful, and the seriousness of doing business was balanced beautifully with genuine warmth.
The result? A term that stood out — not just for its achievements, but for the spirit behind them.
A Celebration of Effort and Heart
The term ended on a high at the Rotary House of Friendship, with a superb DJ (thanks to Ashok) and festive floral arrangements (courtesy Vinutha).
It was a fitting celebration for a team that had worked tirelessly — a joyful evening filled with gratitude, laughter, and the sense that Odyssey was stronger than ever.

Passing the Torch
As Vaishak, Arjun, and Anuroop took over the leadership mantle from Raddhika, there was quiet confidence in the air. The foundation was strong, the spirit unbreakable, and the momentum unstoppable.
Odyssey is now ready for its next chapter — to grow, evolve, and shine even brighter.
What I’ll Remember Most
Looking back, I realise this term wasn’t just about leadership transitions or achieving milestones — it was about trust, friendship, and learning to embrace differences.
Sometimes, the best leadership lessons come wrapped in chaos, humour, and heartfelt conversations over coffee.
And like every family, Odyssey doesn’t just celebrate success — we grow through the chaos that creates it.
