Sara & Vinaya’s Wedding – 27 Nov 2020

I was privileged to be invited to Sara & Vinaya’s wedding.

In the year 2020, the pandemic situation deemed only a very select number of guests may be invited to a wedding, and if your name came up, it definitely was a privilege or you are relegated to watching the wedding on youtube!

Having traversed through multiple terrains on many adventurous road trips, with both of them, across India, and Bhutan I was happy to be there for them on this epic day of their lives!

The wedding was at the beautiful Silent Shores Resort and Spa in Mysore.

Subbu, Jyoti, Arun and I got there a day earlier while the rest joined in at about 12 pm the next day.

I was supposed to take the Versys, but news of Cyclone Nivar hitting Chennai came up and google’s weather report predicted torrential rain for the 3 days in Bangalore. I was forced to take the Baleno instead, in the interest of “safety”.

I left Bangalore at 6:30 am on Thursday and got a smidge of rain up to NICE road. After which the weather was fantastic, and I was wishing to be on 2 wheels instead of 4 for the entire journey to Mysore, and back.

Mysore too had awesome weather, for the next few days, and I only read about heavy rain in some parts of Bangalore

I used my early arrival to meet with Chengappa of Urskars, as well as help Sara out with some errands hunting for pooja items around Mysore.

Preeti and Ishaan didn’t join for fear of the pandemic, with Ishaan being still under 10.

My SD card decided to die, and I spent the better part of the previous day hunting for one in Mysore, to no avail. Luckily Arun carried multiple SD cards and multiple cameras, and i was able to borrow one from him.

After 700+ pictures, I could salvage only about 200 of them!
