Renewing Vows in Tiruppur: Celebrating Family, Memories, and Home

My father’s brother, my uncle, celebrated his 80th birthday by renewing his vows with my aunt at our family home in Tirupur.

My father’s extended family, cousins, and many young, old and new relations met to celebrate this event.

We took our new Tata Harrier, and enjoyed the comfort of a powerful diesel automatic car, that could seat all of us comfortably all the way to Tiruppur.

I have very fond memories of Tiruppur, playing with my cousins, spending time in the sprawling colony, running barefoot in the heat, amongst all my aunts, uncles, cousins and their friends.

While we don’t visit as often as I would like to, every single time i have visited, there is always a sense of “coming back home”.
