Meeting Old Friends in Pune – Feb 2018

I was lucky enough to achieve the target sales for one of the companies we represent called Cromwell. and for the past 5 years i have won consecutively. The Awards / recognition are usually done in a luxury hotel, but in scenic places. They’ve held these in Kumarkom Lake Resort ( Kerala ), Zuri – Goa, Alibaug, Jaipur and Kathmandu

This year it was organised in Shilim, Hilton. An Off-beat yoga/wellness / spa place by the Hilton group. 

Its so close to pune, but quite tucked away and hardly advertised. There were barely any signs to get there. 

It was in Feb, but still it was hot but a good program. 

I had studied Diploma in Market Research in a college called “INSEARCH” and i had made some really good friends over the course of the year I was there. I still try to keep in touch once in a while to call and say “hey” to some of them .

I had Arrived in Pune a day earlier and found that my friend Leena had returned for sometime from Indonesia and was staying on the outskirts. That evening i met up with Mandar and Siddarth for some beers at some obscure place I dont remember the name. Mandar was becoming a rising architect and food critic and Siddarth was the MD of a large Plastic capsule making company near Pune.

They both met me outside the iconic Vaishali where i had just pigged out on some Chaat and Chai with the cromwell team.

When i am in Maharastra, the one thing i crave and have to have is Misal Pav. 

I arranged to meet Leena at her house and she prepared some home made misal pav!

I met and caught up with her and met her awesome kids too!

I had a Super awesome breakfast and was there till nearly noon. She had her driver drop me to a point close to where the Cromwell Bus arrived to pick me up and we headed to Shilim. 

Post the event i rode back with Prashant, the sales head of Cromwell, in his car as he had agreed to drop me back on the way to the airport. My flight was the last one out, and I had some time to meet with another close friend Parul and Akshay who stayed in aparments on the way to pune. 

Met the happy couple with their happy but extremely shy daughter at the apartment club house. Unfortunately I didnt have much time to spend with them, and got very few pics of them.
